AutoStream Cookie & Local Storage Notice

This document is a working draft. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it, particularly the sections on automated platform interaction and third-party data collection.

This notice explains what the AutoStream dashboard (manageautostream.com) and the AutoStream Chrome extension store in your browser, and why. It supplements the AutoStream Privacy Policy.

1. What we store

1.1 Authentication / session storage (strictly necessary)

• The dashboard uses the Supabase client library to store your authentication session token in your browser (via cookies and/or browser storage, depending on how the Supabase client is configured). This keeps you signed in between visits and lets the dashboard confirm which dealership account and role you are acting under.
• The Chrome extension stores an equivalent session token, along with your cached inventory list and posting history, in the extension’s local storage (Chrome storage.local), as described in the AutoStream Privacy Policy.
• Without this storage, the Service cannot keep you signed in, and core functionality (viewing your dealership’s inventory, creating listings) will not work.

1.2 Local preferences (strictly necessary / functional)

• Small pieces of local data used to remember your in-app preferences, for example, sort order, filters, or UI display settings in the dashboard or extension.
• These preferences are stored locally in your browser or the extension and are used only to make the Service work the way you left it.

2. What we do not use

• We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies to follow you across other websites.
• We do not sell or share data collected through cookies or local storage with advertisers or data brokers.

If AutoStream later adopts a first-party analytics tool to understand product usage, this notice will be updated before that change takes effect.

3. Managing storage

Because the storage described above is strictly necessary for the Service to function, there is no cookie-consent banner or opt-out toggle for it, disabling it will prevent you from signing in or using the Service. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser’s settings, or remove the AutoStream extension’s local data by uninstalling the extension; doing so will sign you out and require you to sign in again on your next visit.

4. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in how the dashboard or extension use browser storage. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
